Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care Services Limited (OLOCACS) is an independent Catholic organisation, providing a range of aged and community services. OLOCACS is owned by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, an international order of religious women.
The company operates both residential aged care and community care services in Western Sydney.
The complex at Rooty Hill, in Western Sydney, consists of:
- a 130 bed residential aged care nursing home; and,
- 173 residential aged care hostel places, located across three (3) separate buildings.
Within both the nursing home and hostel is a small unit dedicated to providing dementia-specific residential aged care.
General low-care respite is also available in the hostel.
Both the nursing home and the hostel are fully accredited and certified.
Our community care services provide a range of services, directed at supporting people to remain living at home. We operate:
- Community Aged Care Package (CACP) services (hostel level of care delivered to the home);
- Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) services (nursing home level of care delivered to the home);
- Dementia EACH (dementia-specific nursing home level of care delivered to the home); as well as,
- a wide variety of less-intensive Home and Community Care (HACC) funded services, including assistance with lawn-mowing, home maintenance and modification, home linen services and a carer support service.
The offices of our community care services are also located in the Rooty Hill complex.
